Peanuts are important to everyday cooking in most regions of Indonesia. Sometimes
the small peanuts are balled in sufficient water to enrich the stock of vegetable soup called
Sayur Asam. The stil-crunchy texture and the nutty taste make an interesting combination in the
soup.
Peanuts are also used to make various snacks. Plainly deep-fried with seasioning of
some salt, they are sold in sachets at every small road side shop, catering to school children and
adult alike.
Kacang goreng, as thr fried peanuts are called, are a quick and filling snack. To give
those fried peanuts a more specifik flavor, thinly-sliced fresh garlic can be added while frying.
It is called Kacang Bawang, a special treat at important moment such as on Lebaran Day.

Crispy Hash Brown Recipe

Ingredients:
3 tbsp olive oil, canola oil or grape seed oil
1 lb russel backing potatoes, peeled, and grated, salt and pepper.
Method:
1. Heat 3 tbsp of oil in large frying pan on medium heat.
2. Squeeze out as much moisture as you can from the grated potatoes. It‟s easier to do this with
potatoes ricer. If you don‟t have it, you can use pepper towel to squeeze it.
3. Add the grated potatoes on the hot frying pan, spread them out along the bottom of the pan.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the potatoes. If they have been fried to golden brown, they
are ready for a flip. Continue to cook until they are golden brown on the bottom. Put them
on the serving plate. Serve for 4 people.

The Earth receives heat from the Sun and reflect some of this heat into space. Carbon
the dioxide and other gases in the air act as the blanket to hold onto some of this reflected
heat. As a result, the Earth is warm. This is called the greenhouse effect.
The cutting down the forest and the burning of fuels cause the air contain more of
gases that cause the greenhouse effect. When this happen the greenhouse effect increases.
There is a rise in temperature all over the world, which is called global warming.
With the increasing of global warmning, the ice in the North Pole and the South Pole

the higher temperature will become extinct.
